Job Title: Food Services Assistant
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional food services to our patients and customers. This involves taking meal orders, preparing patient food trays, beverages, and basic food preparation in line with required food safety and infection control standards.
You will work closely with a positive and respected team, maintaining a clean and safe environment within the department at all times. In this role, you will report to the Catering Manager and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Taking meal orders and preparing patient food trays, beverages, and basic food preparation
* Providing exceptional customer service to patients and customers
* Maintaining a clean and safe environment within the department
* Working closely with the catering team to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a prep kitchen or hospital environment is highly desirable
* Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles
* Compliance with HACCP, Food Safety and Workplace, Health and Safety
* Certificate III in Health Support Services and Food Handling Certificate are highly desirable for this role
* Knowledge of food allergies and special diets would be helpful
