Due to continued growth and the ongoing development of our people and systems, we are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Advisor to join our Perth-based team.
Reporting to the Business Support Manager, this is a hands‐on HR role that will provide support across the full employee lifecycle while contributing to the development of our people, culture and business objectives.
Working closely with leaders across the business, you will provide practical and commercially focused HR advice and support on a range of workforce matters including employee relations, performance management, disciplinary processes, workforce planning, policy implementation and organisational development.
The role will also oversee recruitment activities across the business, ensuring the attraction, onboarding and retention of quality personnel to support operational requirements.
This position offers a high level of autonomy and would suit an experienced HR professional who is confident working independently while building strong relationships across both operational and corporate environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide professional HR advice and support to managers and employees across the business.
* Manage employee relations matters including performance management, disciplinary processes, investigations and workplace conflict resolution.
* Prepare and maintain employment contracts, position descriptions and HR documentation.
* Support workforce planning, succession planning and employee development initiatives.
* Manage recruitment and onboarding activities across operational and corporate roles.
* Coordinate employee engagement, retention and culture initiatives.
* Maintain HR reporting, workforce metrics and management reporting requirements.
* Support compliance with employment legislation, modern awards and workplace obligations.
* Assist with policy development, implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Support leaders in building high-performing teams and positive workplace culture.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
* Minimum Certificate IV in Human Resource Management.
* Advanced Diploma of Human Resource Management highly regarded.
* Previous experience in a HR Advisor position.
* Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice.
* Demonstrated experience managing performance, disciplinary and employee relations matters.
* Experience preparing employment contracts and HR documentation.
* Strong recruitment and talent acquisition experience.
* Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
* Strong attention to detail and reporting capability.
* Experience within mining, contracting, construction, industrial or resources sectors will be highly regarded.
