Position Overview
* CMA: Responsible for assisting in examination, treatment, or diagnostic procedures as requested under physician direction. Acts as the primary liaison between patients, staff, and providers; collaborates with the interdisciplinary team; takes vital signs, triages patient calls, refills prescriptions, completes prior authorizations, and supports coworkers. Provides direction to CNA's and Schedulers; receives direction from Providers, Nurses Coordinators, Clinical Managers/Supervisors.
* LPN: Responsible for providing nursing care to clinic patients within scope of licensure. Acts as the primary liaison between patients, staff, and providers; collaborates with the interdisciplinary team; takes vital signs, triages patient calls, refills prescriptions, completes prior authorizations, and supports coworkers. Provides direction to CNA's and Schedulers; receives direction from Providers, Coordinators, Clinical Managers/Supervisors and RNs.
Education
* CMA
o Appropriate Licensure / Certification
o Follows current continuing education requirements per state/federal licensure requirements
* LPN
o Graduate of a Nursing Program
o Follows current continuing education requirements per state/federal licensure requirements
License/Certifications
* CMA
o BLS (Basic Life Support)
o Graduate of a medical assisting program and passed the CMA/RMA Certification Examination of AAMA or American Medical Technologists, maintaining credential currency
* LPN
o Current State LPN license
o BLS (Basic Life Support) from a College of Technology/Nursing
o Follows current continuing education requirements per state/federal licensure requirements
