A warm, health-focused family in Banora Point is looking for a nurturing, calm, and safety-conscious nanny to care for their beautiful one-year-old daughter. This role would suit someone who genuinely enjoys caring for babies, understands developmentally appropriate play, and takes a responsive, evidence-based approach to caregiving.
This is the family's first child, and mum is returning to work for the first time, so finding someone kind, patient, and trustworthy is incredibly important to them.
Days & Hours
* Monday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
* Tuesday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
* Thursday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
About the Role
You'll be caring for the child during the day while both parents are at work (they're close by and easily contactable). The days will follow the child's nap and meal schedule and include plenty of play, connection, and time out of the house. There are no fixed activities, but you're welcome to take the child out for walks, to the park, or even to the local shops just down the road. Screen time is kept to a minimum, with a focus on hands‐on, engaging play.
Responsibilities
* Providing warm, responsive, and nurturing care for the child
* Preparing meals, snacks, and lunches (no dietary requirements)
* Supporting naps and daily routines
* Engaging in stimulating, age‐appropriate play
* Outings such as walks, park visits, or short local errands
* Light household tasks related to the day (tidying, laundry, kitchen clean‐up)
* Occasional grocery runs
Requirements
* 3+ years experience caring for babies or young toddlers
* Current Working with Children's check
* Current First Aid
* Calm, patient, and emotionally steady – especially during big feelings
* Safety-conscious and aligned with evidence-based caregiving practices
* Non-smoker
* Driver's licence and own car (required)
* Childcare qualifications are a bonus but not essential
About the Family
This is a close-knit, family-oriented household who prioritise health, fitness, and being present with their child. They're homebodies by nature, non-smokers and non-drinkers, and take a very hands‐on approach to parenting. Dad's schedule can be busy but flexible, and he's often able to come home around lunchtime. Both parents are nearby during the day and easily reachable, and additional support is available if ever needed.
They're hoping to find a nanny who will become a trusted, long-term part of their family and help them feel confident and comfortable as they take this next step.
