About the Family
A warm, active and busy family based in Lane Cove North, NSW is seeking a mature, calm and capable nanny to support their three children aged 6, 10 and 12 years old.
They are looking for someone who can confidently support all three children across different ages and personalities while maintaining a calm and organised environment.
Their 10-year-old son has autism. Most of the time he is very settled, however when dysregulated he benefits from gentle guidance, patience and a calm, understanding approach. Previous experience supporting neurodivergent children would be highly regarded.
The family places strong importance on open and honest communication with their nanny and sees the role as a collaborative partnership.
The Role
This role is primarily focused on after-school care, driving to activities, homework support and helping manage busy afternoon routines.
Typical duties include:
* School pick-ups
* Driving children to swimming and sporting activities
* Assisting with homework
* Supporting routines and transitions between activities
* Providing patient and calm emotional support when needed
* Preparing snacks and assisting with meals
* Helping maintain an organised household flow
The role would suit someone who is confident multitasking, comfortable with Sydney driving and able to remain calm and organised in a busy afternoon environment.
Driving & Activities
A family automatic vehicle will be provided. The nanny must feel confident driving in Sydney traffic.
Monday
* Boys walk home from school and meet nanny at home
* Drive boys to Ryde Aquatic Centre
Tuesday
* Pick up all 3 children from school
* Drive directly to Ryde Aquatic Centre to drop off 1 child
* At 5pm take the other 2 children to Ryde Hunters Hill Hockey Club for training
* Return to Ryde Aquatic Centre to collect after swimming
Meal Preparation
The family will pre‐prepare most meals. Duties may include:
* Preparing thermos meals for swimming nights
* Serving pre‐prepared dinners
* Occasional assistance with simple dinner preparation during school holidays
Household Duties
Light household support includes:
* Light tidying and organisation
* Occasional errands

Requirements
* 3+ years previous nanny or childcare experience preferred
* Experience with neurodivergent children highly regarded
* Current Working With Children Check
* First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain)
* Full driver's licence and clean driving record
* Confident driver in Sydney traffic
