Heavy Earthmoving Equipment Technician Role:
* Performs the maintenance, repair and servicing of heavy earthmoving equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance of the equipment. This includes lubrication, cleaning, inspections and repairs as required.
* Perform routine checks on equipment to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
* Carry out preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements and other scheduled services.
* Identify and source technical information from relevant reference manuals and OEM systems.
* Assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs.
* Perform diagnostic trouble shooting of Heavy Earthmoving equipment.
Requirements:
* A proven track record of experience as a Fitter or Electrician is essential.
* Post-trade experience working in Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry is highly desirable.
* Relevant Certificate of Proficiency issued by Training NSW is a requirement.
* Experience with general maintenance, breakdowns, component changeouts and diagnostic trouble shooting of Heavy Earthmoving equipment is necessary.
