About the role

We are looking for an Asset Health Technician to provide technical assistance, support, and expert advice on continuous improvement practices on a day-to-day basis to execute condition-based inspection strategies for our Brockman 4 operations.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced candidate with excellent diagnostic and fault-finding abilities and is looking to step into a role where they can showcase their technical knowledge while also collaborating with functional partners and stakeholders to improve plant performance and reliability.

Reporting to Supervisor Maintenance, and working in a collaborative community within Fixed Plant Maintenance, you will:

* Adhere to all Rio Tinto standards, policies and procedures.
* Actively foster and communicate a positive safety culture to promote safety awareness and compliance, encouraging prioritisation of safety in all activities and operations.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, evaluating and implementing improvement opportunities utilising a range of Rio Tinto best practices.
* Collaborate closely with other functions and stakeholders in the performance of duties including coach and mentor relevant partners in the requirements of effective NDT and condition-based strategy execution, and mentor new and trainee AH technicians.
* Provide appropriate coaching, mentoring and technical support to Fixed Plant Maintenance.
* Safely execute routine and unplanned structural and condition-based maintenance activities on fixed plant assets, using specialised techniques such as visual, vibration analysis, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic and eddy current testing.
* Accurately report all completed inspections using approved reporting formats and templates, including SAP, and be responsible for ensuring data is maintained accurately in the relevant databases.
* Monitor, track and trend identified defects to ensure risks are adequately understood and mitigated with RTIO standard instrumentation.
About you
* A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
* Computer Literacy (SAP Experience, Microsoft Suite).
* Sound written and verbal communication skills.
* Understanding of Work Mgt, maintenance and asset health processes.
* Self-motivation and able to work safely and independently.
* A current Western Australia C Class Driver's Licence Mechanical Trade qualification and/or reliability engineering background.
* Experience using MHM.
* Australian "C" Class manual driver's licence.
* Level 1 & 2 Certification in Vibration Analysis.
