Position Overview
Join one of Australia's leading transport operators and work with a up‐to‐date fleet in a supportive, safety‐focused workshop environment. This is a permanent full‐time position based at our Orange Site Maintenance Facility in NSW.
As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic for Ron Finemore Transport you will be part of a professional maintenance team responsible for servicing and maintaining our modern fleet of European truck and heavy trailer equipment. Relocation support or a sign‐on bonus will be provided for the right applicant (T&C; Apply).
Your Responsibilities
* Repairs, service and inspections on engines, transmissions, brakes, diffs, electrical and pneumatic systems on truck and trailer equipment.
* Diagnostic analysis using supplied diagnostic software and computer equipment.
* Produce clear and concise digital repair order reports detailing all work carried out and recommendations in a prioritised order.
* Provide support and guidance to apprentice technicians.
* Participation in an on‐call roster on a rotating basis.
About You
You are a motivated and reliable mechanic who enjoys working in a fast‐paced team environment and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.
* Mechanical trade certificate/qualification or equivalent.
* Own tools.
* Experience in the heavy vehicle industry.
* Experience with American or European drivelines (advantageous).
* Trailer servicing and maintenance experience preferred.
* Ability to work independently and within a team.
* Driver's licence required (heavy vehicle licence advantageous).
* Pride in your work with an ability to work to targets and high standards.
* Effective communication skills with a commitment to workplace safety.
