Overview
Greenfreight is currently seeking a highly capable and experiencedLinehaul Allocator / Scheduler to join our Wodonga based linehaul operations team. This role is integral to the effective coordination of our fleet and driver resources, ensuring the timely and compliant delivery of freight across Australia. The Linehaul Allocator plays a critical role in transport and logistics operations, particularly in coordinating long-distance freight movements.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic allocation and scheduling of linehaul vehicles and drivers
- Coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure service continuity
- Monitoring fleet performance and identifying opportunities for operational improvement
- Utilisation of industry-specific applications including MTData, Mobiledock, and Noxx
- Compliance with fatigue management, mass management, and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) regulations
- Maintaining detailed records and reporting on fleet utilisation and performance metrics
- Liaising with customers, drivers and other stakeholders to coordinate logistics
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity within the fleet
Experience and requirements
- Demonstrated experience in transport scheduling or fleet operations
- Strong understanding of transport legislation and operational planning
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Relevant certifications in fatigue and mass management are essential
- Experience working in a similar role is essential
- A collaborative approach to working within a team and across the organisation
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a fast-paced environment
