Key Role: Cyber Security Specialist
About the Position:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing security administration across various environments, including Windows, Linux, and networks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide security administration and management of patching, hardening, and configuration baselines.
* Maintain security technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
* Analyse security events using SIEM and log management tools.
* Support incident response activities and contribute to threat detection and remediation.
* Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and client stakeholders to deliver secure solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Technical Experience: Hands-on experience in system administration (Windows/Linux), patching and hardening, security monitoring, firewalls, network security, or incident response.
* Security Frameworks: Familiarity with cyber security standards and compliance requirements, ideally including ISM, PSPF, ISO *****, or ACSC Essential Eight.
* Problem-Solving and Analysis: Demonstrated ability to investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex technical or security issues.
* Communication and Teamwork: Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
* Australian Citizenship with a current security clearance (Baseline minimum, NV1 or higher strongly preferred).
