Join the Y Ballarat team as a casual educator in our OSHC Services across Ballarat, including Alfredton, Newington, Ballarat North, St Patrick's Gordon, St Brigids Ballan and OLHC.
As part of Y Ballarat you will be part of a supporting, collaborative workforce that values learning, growth and community impact. You will deliver high‐quality after‐school care and support children in a safe, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support day‐to‐day operation of OSHC services, ensuring activities are engaging, appropriate and developmentally suitable.
* Assist senior educators in planning and implementing educational programmes for children.
* Maintain a safe, clean and conducive learning environment, complying with all health and safety procedures.
* Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding children's progress and any concerns.
* Adhere to Y Ballarat policies and safeguarding procedures, safeguarding the wellbeing of all children.
Qualifications & Experience
* Working toward a Certificate III, Certificate III or Diploma qualification in an educational, disability, children's services or community services field.
* Recognition of OSHC qualifications per ACERQA/ACECQA guidelines.
* Relevant experience working with children in a learning or care environment is preferred.
* Valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check upon appointment.
