Casual Educator opportunities at Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service within St Augustine's Primary School, Coffs Harbour

Range of weekday shifts available and flexibility for work around family and study commitments. No weekends or public holidays.
Duties
Before/After School and Vacation programs for primary school-aged children.
Organise and supervise children in various recreational and educational activities.
Take an active role in supporting positive behaviours and self‐regulation and safety management.
Apply policies, procedures or similar related to an early childhood education and care environment, including mandatory reporting obligations.
Selection Criteria
Must be available Monday to Friday - 6:45am-9am & 2:00pm-6pm during school term and between 6:30am-6pm during school holidays.
Employees must have, or be able to obtain prior to commencement, a current NSW Working with Children Check clearance (for paid employment).
Professional presentation and excellent punctuality.
Ability to apply and comply with child safeguarding principles and mandatory reporting obligations.
Ability to engage in a positive and friendly manner with children and families.
Experience and/or qualifications in childcare/education would be highly regarded, but not essential.
Pay rates
Pay rates are based on level of appointment. As a guide, the current pay rates include:
Level 3: $40.44 per hour including allowances, plus superannuation (e.g. experience and/or Certificate III/IV in Early Childhood Education and Care)
Level 4: $43.07 per hour including allowances, plus superannuation (Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Teaching qualification)
Above rates include the current temporary Worker Retention Payment (allowance) as part of the Australian Government Early Childhood Education and Care Retention Payment. The temporary allowance is offered to all new employees on commencement of employment.

Candidates must hold a current NSW Class C Driver's Licence and have unrestricted right to work in Australia (no working holiday visa holders). Successful candidates may be required to undertake National Criminal History and Prohibited Persons checks.
To support our team members who are parents/guardians, options are available to have your primary school-aged child/ren enrolled and attending the service (fee payable) on days you are working.
