The Opportunity
Recruiting skilled and passionate clinicians for our Rehabilitation and Reintegration Services team at Ravenhall Correctional Centre, with full‐time or part‐time work at GEO's Community Reintegration Centre in Melbourne.
As a Clinician you will support prisoners to make positive, lasting change by delivering evidence‐informed assessments, interventions and reintegration support. You will work in multidisciplinary teams, contributing to GEO's integrated practice model that supports individuals in custody and as they transition into the community.
Key Impact Areas
* Conduct clinical interviews, risk assessments, psychometric testing and behavioural assessments to inform treatment planning.
* Develop forensic case formulations, comprehensive treatment plans and high‐quality outcome reports.
* Provide individual cognitive‐behavioural interventions for treatment readiness, violence, family violence, substance use, antisocial attitudes, problem solving, trauma and wellbeing.
* Facilitate group programmes targeting criminogenic needs, wellness, healthy relationships and reintegration.
* Offer family‐inclusive interventions and post‐release support where ongoing care is essential to reducing recidivism.
* Contribute to case‐management planning, case reviews, behaviour support plans and community reintegration plans.
* Collaborate with custodial teams, Forensicare, Correct Care and GEO's Alliance Partners to deliver integrated, impactful services.
* Participate in cultural, community and reintegration activities that support prisoner engagement and wellbeing.
* Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to continuous improvement through professional supervision and development.
About You
* Clinicians are psychologists (fully registered with the Psychology Board of Australia), social workers (registered with the Australian Association of Social Work), occupational therapists (registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia) or mental health nurses (credentialed with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses).
* Demonstrated knowledge of the criminal justice system, including courts, prisons, parole and community corrections.
* Knowledge of the "What works" literature in offender rehabilitation, and application of the Good Lives Model (GLM) and Risk Need Responsivity (RNR) principles.
* Experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and other best‐practice therapeutic frameworks for working with offenders.
* Clinical and/or risk assessment experience, individual and group intervention in a correctional, clinical or relevant setting.
* Collaborative ability with cross‐agency teams and multidisciplinary professionals.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effective preparation of clinical formulations and reports.
