Project Engineer, Infrastructure
Dubbo Regional Council is looking for a Project Engineer to manage and deliver civil engineering projects across the council area. The role involves planning, coordinating and driving delivery of projects with contractors, consultants and internal teams to ensure they are safe, compliant and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, coordinate and drive delivery of civil engineering projects from pre‐planning to completion.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, consultants and the community.
* Develop project and contract management capability, including cost estimating, scheduling, compliance and stakeholder engagement.
* Supervise and manage staff, ensuring teamwork, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills are applied.
* Prepare well‐developed reports and communications for stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
* Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (must be Australian licence or completed in Australia).
* Demonstrated experience in civil engineering project/contract delivery.
* Experience in project and contract management, organising and managing conflicting work priorities.
* Strong personal communication skills and ability to supervise staff.
* Sound knowledge of Australian standards, project delivery practices and local government frameworks.
Preferred
* Local Government experience.
* Postgraduate qualifications.
* Experience managing the RMCC on Council's behalf and Transport for NSW contracts.
