We are seeking a capable and motivated Senior Accountant to join our Perth Head Office and support the Company through its next phase of growth. This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who thrives in a small team, enjoys improving systems and processes, and brings strong commercial acumen to a fast‐moving environment.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the GM Finance, you will take ownership of core financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and commercial support activities. You will work closely with operational leaders, contribute to building financial systems and controls, and help shape the finance function as the organisation scales.
This role is ideal for a self‐starter with mining operational experience who is comfortable working across both management accounting and financial accounting responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Month‐end processing, including journals and balance sheet reconciliations
* Preparation and analysis of monthly management reports
* Weekly cashflow preparation and monitoring
* Drafting interim and annual financial statements under AIFRS and managing external audit programs
* Ensuring GST (BAS), FBT and tax compliance
* Developing operational and capital budgets and forecasts
* Supporting financial modelling and KPI reporting
* Streamlining and improving financial systems, policies and procedures
* Partnering with operational leaders to enhance commercial performance
* Providing guidance to Accounts Payable and Payroll
* Ad hoc financial and commercial support as required
About You
You are a proactive, detail‐oriented finance professional who enjoys variety and takes pride in delivering high‐quality work. You are comfortable operating in a growing organisation where processes are evolving and where your input will directly shape how the business operates.
Essential Criteria
* CA or CPA qualified
* 3+ years' experience in a similar accounting role
* Mining operational experience
* Strong understanding of AIFRS
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Pronto (or similar ERP)
* Excellent time management, organisation and communication skills
* Pronto or other ERP experience
