About the role
Provide strong leadership and strategic direction for Scouts Recycling South Australia.
Foster strong relationships with the State Government, the beverage and scrap industries, and other key stakeholders.
Drive a strong safety culture, ensuring that our team, customers, and visitors go home safe every day.
Oversee multi-site operational performance, ensuring sites meet budgets, compliance requirements, and contractual service level agreements.
Develop and implement policies, processes, staff training programs, KPIs, and safety protocols to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Drive productivity strategies to maximise container recovery and improve efficiency across our South Australian network.
Collaborate with senior managers and your team on policy, planning, and strategic decisions to achieve both short- and long-term goals.
Continuously review and refine operational policies and procedures for optimal efficiency.
Foster a company culture that promotes high performance, collaboration, and strong employee engagement.
Lead budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing processes to drive continuous improvement.
Work closely with senior leaders to develop innovative solutions that enhance the success of our South Australian business and contribute to national operations.
About you
* Significant experience as a senior leader in a diverse multi-site retail business
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging with government bodies, regulatory agencies, commercial partners, and community-based organisations.
* Proven ability to lead, design, and deliver commercial results across a diverse network of sites or independent businesses.
* Strategic thinking, problem-solving ability, and planning skills, with experience balancing the "big picture" with attention to detail.
* Hands-on operational expertise, with a track record of optimising processes, managing teams, and delivering growth.
* Experience advising senior managers on complex challenges and business strategies.
* A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to build trust and alignment across internal teams and external stakeholders.
