Position Title: Marketing Manager
Reports To: College Board / Director of Operations

Location: Perth, Western Australia (with interstate and international travel)
Position Overview
The Marketing Manager is responsible for leading Illoura College's international marketing and recruitment strategy to attract students from a diverse range of countries. This role ensures that all marketing and recruitment activities are compliant with the ESOS Act 2000, the National Code of Practice 2018, and outcome standards 2025.
The Marketing Manager will combine strategic market analysis, agent engagement, digital campaign leadership, and global outreach to increase international student enrolments. As Illoura College continues to strengthen its global reach, the role will involve international travel, representation at student recruitment fairs, and building long-term partnerships with agents, universities, and government stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market Research & Analysis
* Conduct ongoing analysis of international education market trends with a focus on Western Australia and key overseas markets.
* Identify new opportunities for growth in international student enrolments.
2. International Student Recruitment & Agent Management
* Develop and manage strong partnerships with international and onshore education agents.
* Provide accurate, up-to-date, and compliant information on Illoura College courses, entry requirements, and student services.
* Monitor agent performance and ensure compliance with National Code 2018 (Standards 4 & 7).
* Deliver agent training and support sessions to ensure correct representation of the College.
* Provide counselling to prospective students where required.
3. Marketing Strategy & Global Promotion
* Plan and implement global marketing strategies to strengthen Illoura College's brand and student recruitment outcomes.
* Represent Illoura College at education fairs, exhibitions, recruitment events, and industry forums (domestic and overseas).
* Promote Illoura's courses, pathways, and student experience to a global audience.
* Collaborate with social media and development teams to manage campaigns, content, and branding.
4. Digital Marketing & Communications
* Oversee the College's website, social media, and electronic communications to ensure accuracy, compliance, and engagement.
* Prepare compliant marketing materials (brochures, flyers, prospectuses, presentations) in line with ESOS and CRICOS requirements.
* Lead targeted digital campaigns, including, paid advertising, EDMs, and analytics reporting.
5. Compliance & Governance
* Ensure all marketing and recruitment practices are compliant with:
* ESOS Act 2000
* National Code of Practice 2018
* Outcome standards 2025
* Maintain accurate records of marketing approvals, recruitment activities, and agent communications for audit purposes.
* Ensure all published materials provide clear, transparent, and accurate information regarding courses, fees, and entry requirements.
6. Reporting & Strategic Contribution
* Provide regular updates to the College Board on marketing outcomes, recruitment trends, and international market performance.
* Contribute to strategic planning for international growth and diversification of student cohorts.
Key Selection Criteria
1. Qualifications & Experience
2. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3. Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing and student recruitment within the international education (CRICOS/VET/ELICOS) sector.
4. Strong understanding of CRICOS/ESOS legislative frameworks and compliance obligations.
5. Demonstrated experience in managing relationships with international education agents.
6. Experience in planning and delivering international marketing campaigns and recruitment events.

8. Strong research and analytical skills to identify emerging markets and in-demand qualifications.
9. Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-cultural relationship management skills.
10. Proficiency in digital marketing tools, CRM systems, and campaign analytics.
11. Ability to balance creativity with compliance and regulatory accuracy.
12. Willingness to travel interstate and internationally to represent Illoura College.
13. Valid working rights in Australia.
