Role Summary:
Orthopaedic Surgical Registrar
This role offers the opportunity to coordinate day-to-day operations, lead patient management decisions, and collaborate closely with senior medical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the unit, including supervision of junior medical staff and ensuring learning objectives are met in accordance with specialist college training requirements.
* Making critical decisions related to patient management, leading daily ward rounds, and ensuring all patients are assessed and treated in a timely manner.
* Maintaining close communication and collaboration within the unit, particularly regarding patients requiring urgent and ongoing care.
* Thoroughly documenting patient information in the health record, reviewing patient progress regularly, and developing a discharge plan that is communicated with all relevant parties.
* Keeping up to date with medical knowledge and skills, participating in quality improvement and audit activities, and performing other duties as required by the Medical Workforce.
