Librarian and Resource Manager
The role of the Librarian and Resource Manager is to lead a library team in delivering exceptional services to students, staff and community members. This involves managing all aspects of library operations, supervising staff, and collaborating with colleagues to identify curriculum resource needs.
* Manage the overall operations of the library, including the management of resources, systems, and budgets.
* Supervise library staff, including recruitment, professional development, performance management, and scheduling.
* Oversee the timely procurement, processing, and availability of educational resources.
* Maintain and update the library catalogue systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to identify resource needs and develop strategies for meeting these needs.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Ensure the effective management of library resources, including books, journals, databases, and other materials.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures for the management of library resources.
* Collaborate with educators to develop curricula that incorporate library resources and information literacy skills.
