We are currently seeking an experienced Mining Manager to lead our mining production team at the Curragh Mining Project. Reporting to the General Manager – Mining, you will be responsible for overseeing all mining production aspects to ensure Golding and client objectives are met.
This role offers a DIDO or FIFO Monday-to-Friday roster, or the option to relocate to the region, with camp accommodation or housing provided as applicable.
Key Role Tasks:
* Oversee the implementation and management of production systems for the project.
* Foster strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders to maximize project success.
* Manage team resources in line with estimates and contractual variations.
* Authorise crew numbers and skill requirements to meet project goals.
* Resolve resource allocation challenges across teams.
* Identify and address contract scope divergences, escalating unresolved issues as needed.
* Demonstrate visible safety leadership through SHE audits, inspections, and observations.
* Oversee SHE incident investigations, ensuring thorough analysis and actionable recommendations.
* Develop role summaries and performance plans for team members.
* Continuously drive improvements in team performance and operational efficiency.
* Prepare and present reports, budgets, and forecasts with accuracy and timeliness.
Key Capability Requirements:
* Proven experience managing production staff in an Australian coal mining operation (essential).
* A strong track record of meeting safety and production targets.
* Ability to drive operational improvements using data-driven insights.
* Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and delegation skills.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
* A team-oriented mindset, with the ability to contribute to a high-performing leadership team.
