We are a dynamic team seeking an experienced professional to join our kitchen at the JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa.
* Assist in maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction in the kitchen environment.
* Clean and prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, storing and washing fresh fruits and vegetables.
* Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen area, including tables, tools, knives, equipment and workstations.
* Setup and breakdown workstations as needed.
In this role you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in providing high-quality food products to our guests. This includes preparing ingredients, monitoring food quantities prepared and portions served, and ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
This is a key member of our team and we are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional service and quality. You will have a strong ability to multitask, communicate effectively with colleagues and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment and possess excellent organizational and time management skills. You will also have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and be able to work well under pressure.
You will work closely with the Executive Chef and other members of the kitchen team to ensure that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen area and ensuring that all equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and stored.
