Consultant – Audit and Assurance Department of Education, Western Australia
Permanent full‑time position, immediate start.
The Risk and Assurance Directorate seeks a proactive, detail‑oriented professional to support high‑quality internal audit and assurance services through coordination, analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of audit methodologies, frameworks, and quality assurance processes.
Coordinate internal and external audit activities, supporting the preparation of Audit and Risk Committee papers.
Support procurement and management of co‑sourced audit engagements.
Undertake research, data analysis, and reporting to support assurance activities and monitor progress against audit program targets and performance indicators.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather data, coordinate meetings, and ensure the timely flow of accurate information that supports effective audit delivery.
Maintain a high standard of audit outcomes, managing competing priorities efficiently.
Qualifications
Australian or Recent Zealand citizen, permanent resident or holding a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
Consent to a National Criminal History Check with the Department’s Screening Unit.
