Job Summary
AECOM’s Acoustics practice has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Acoustic Engineer to join our well-respected team in Melbourne. The role is catered to an experienced acoustic consultant in the field of environmental and transportation acoustics and is suited to a highly driven professional who is looking to further develop their skills in the field to grow their career and take the next step towards a leadership role.
As part of a large, multi-disciplinary organisation, this role offers you the opportunity to work alongside our team of acoustic specialists, both locally and across ANZ, as well as collaborating with the wider AECOM network, giving you broad exposure to a multitude of world-class projects being delivered by our team.
As a Senior Acoustic Engineer, you will apply your strong technical skills and knowledge to deliver a range of tasks, including noise and vibration assessments, computer modelling and analysis for environmental noise, technical report writing, and managing project delivery for a range of clients. As an experienced acoustic consultant, you will provide a high level of service to all clients and contribute to identifying and implementing new methodologies to advance the opportunities of our team.
Your role as Senior Acoustic Engineer will give you the opportunity to lead your own projects while gaining further experience and greater responsibility, as well as providing leadership to team members on complex, large scale projects that deliver quality outcomes for clients.

Minimum Requirements
* Tertiary Qualification (Bachelor of Engineering or Science).
* Proven experience in leading acoustics engineering projects within a consultancy environment.
* Demonstrated experience in delivering the acoustic engineering on major environmental and transportation projects.
* Proactively identify opportunities for engagement with internal and external clients.
* Highly experienced in acoustic site investigations, environmental acoustic modelling packages (e.g. SoundPlan), and strong report writing and verbal communication skills.
* Experience in mentoring and guiding technical junior and graduate team members.
Preferred Qualifications
* CPEng / RPEQ (or working towards).
