About the Role
An opportunity exists for a full-time fixed term Cadet Engineer to be based at our Dandenong site in Melbourne.
This is a great opportunity for a student in their final year of study, or a recent Graduate to join our Engineering team. We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in product development, relevant engineering practices, and manufacturing.
This is a hands‐on role with prototype product testing with real industry methods and techniques to kickstart your career. You will enjoy being innovative and thinking outside the box and be comfortable to respectfully challenge the norm.
Responsibilities
* Research, development, and implementation through to production of products in accordance with the company quality system, design control procedure, relevant Australian water control standards, and ISO 9001
* Project management and execution.
* Engineering administrative support.
Qualifications
* Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical / Mechatronic) or similar
* Strong understanding of fluid mechanics
* High proficiency with CAD programs (Autodesk preferred) with the ability to create and modify CAD models for components and assemblies as well as producing accurate technical drawings to Australian Standards
* Knowledge of, or experience with control systems programming is desired
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with different departments
