An exciting opportunity has become available for an Associate to join the Rates Sales team of a leading global financial institution based in Sydney.
This role sits within a high-performing Institutional Markets business and will involve supporting coverage across a broad range of institutional clients including asset managers, hedge funds, banks and other financial institutions. The successful candidate will work closely with Trading, Research and Syndicate teams across Australian Rates products and broader macro markets.

Key Responsibilities
* Support institutional client coverage across Australian Rates products, including cash bonds and interest rate markets
* Assist with trade execution, booking and secondary market activity alongside the trading desk
* Work closely with internal stakeholders including Trading, Research, Syndicate and Operations teams
* Provide market commentary, macro updates and relevant trade ideas to clients and internal teams
* Assist with new issuance processes and order taking activity
* Support relationship development with both local and offshore institutional clients
* Contribute to desk initiatives, market analysis and reporting
* Assist with onboarding, KYC and documentation processes where required
Skills & Experience
* Approximately 2+ years' experience within Rates Sales, Fixed Income Sales, Macro Sales, Rates Trading or a related institutional markets environment
* Strong interest in macroeconomics, financial markets and fixed income products
* Excellent communication and relationship management skills
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced team environment
* Ambitious, proactive and commercially minded approach
