UGL is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation / Hazardous Area Technician to support operations and maintenance at RAAF Townsville, Queensland.
Role Overview
As part of the UGL team, you will work alongside defence personnel to maintain fuel installation assets across the NQQL region, with occasional regional travel.
Responsibilities
* Perform scheduled maintenance, service, and diagnostic repair of fuel‐related electrical and instrumentation assets.
* Conduct electrical project work on fuel installations as required.
* Support subcontracted work packages and other sites throughout Queensland.
Qualifications
* A‐grade electrical licence and post‐trade experience.
* Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) certification and experience in hazardous areas (EEHA).
* Experience in fixed plant maintenance, preferably in fuel services or oil & gas.
* Confined space and working at heights tickets preferred.
* Current or obtainable Defence security clearance.
Pay & Rates
New rates effective 1July (electrical maintenance trades):
* Level1 – hourly rate (plus super, licence allowance, and tool allowance).
* Level2 – hourly rate (plus super, licence allowance, and tool allowance).
* Level3 (dual trade) – hourly rate (plus super, licence allowance, and tool allowance).
