Responsibilities
Help at Hand Support Services is looking for experienced Disability Support Workers to support people with a disability. You will provide a person‐centred approach and your daily routine will depend on the client you are supporting. The work may involve taking a client out for a beach day, a movie, a game, attending medical appointments, or spending time at home with a cup of tea. The role is exciting and varied.
Qualifications
* Must have your own fully insured, reliable vehicle
* International police check or current police check (must be within 6 months of application)
* Certificate III in Disability or equivalent experience
* Current Working with Children check
* First aid/CPR certificates (current)
* Full and clean Australian driver's licence
* Be punctual
* Be reliable and flexible
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Empathetic and proactive with a genuine interest to work in this field
* The ability to self-supervise and remain calm and composed at times of crisis
* Right to live and work in Australia
