About the Team
The Marketing and Communication Unit (MCU) leads the University's marketing, communication and brand strategies to raise awareness and build engagement that attracts students, attracts partners, and builds community.
About the Role
The International Communications Manager develops and implements communication strategies and plans that reinforce the University's value proposition and communicate key information to international audiences. The role focuses on supporting internationalisation objectives and delivering consistent, audience‐centred communications across multiple channels.
Role responsibilities include:
* Develop and implement international communication plans and initiatives across digital, print and social channels.
* Prepare and distribute communication materials for prospective, commencing and current international students, parents, agents, partners and alumni.
* Provide strategic communication advice to internal stakeholders aligned with international strategy, brand and communication priorities.
* Contribute to the development and delivery of international marketing campaigns in collaboration with marketing colleagues.
* Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support integrated communication activity.
* Monitor, measure and evaluate communication activities and recommend improvements based on evidence and insights.
* Undertake market research, surveys and analysis to inform planning and continuous improvement.
About You
Skills, attributes and knowledge
* Strong oral and written communication skills across a range of formats and channels.
* High level interpersonal skills, including communicating with culturally diverse and non‐native English‐speaking audiences.
* Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders.
* Strong organisational, planning and relationship management skills.
* Sound strategic planning, measurement and evaluation capability.
* Solid knowledge of international higher education and international engagement communication practices.
Experience
* Demonstrated experience developing and managing communication initiatives and campaigns in a large organisation.
* Experience providing strategic communication advice to senior internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience working in the higher education sector.
* Experience leading and managing teams in a devolved environment.
Qualifications
Degree in communications or a related field, or equivalent education, training and/or experience.
What We Offer
Base Salary Range: $120,827 - $137,609 (HEW8) plus 17% superannuation (pension).
The position is full time and will be made on a continuing basis.
