Market Leader – Resources (WA/SA/NT)
GHD's Resources sector requires an experienced leader to shape market strategy, guide our approach, and strengthen client engagement across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic direction for the Resources Market Sector in alignment with our Australian Market Strategy
* Lead proactive business development and client‐focused activities by maintaining strong relationships, identifying new opportunities and supporting sustainable growth. You will also develop key pursuit strategies, including client engagement and leading bid teams to prepare proposals for securing new opportunities
* Lead market activities, collaborating with senior management across the Australia/Pacific Region
* Lead the delivery of significant projects as Project Director across Australia and the Pacific, providing direction and support to enable successful outcomes
* Coach and mentor team members to strengthen business development capability and client relationships
* Ensure ongoing success in relation to key metrics and desired business goals, including financial performance and other market deliverables
Qualifications
* Relevant tertiary qualification(s) in mining planning, engineering, remediation (or related disciplines)
* At least 15 years' experience in business development within a service‐based business, ideally with technical consulting industry knowledge, strong commercial acumen and an outcomes‐focused approach
* Strong experience in the WA Resources sector is important, with exposure to South Australia and the Northern Territory highly regarded
* A strategic, client‐focused approach, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships across the resources sector, and proven success in securing opportunities and growing related project portfolios across the market and broader Australian sectors
* Well‐developed communication skills, with the ability to build trust, influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
* Ability to travel between WA, SA and NT
* Problem‐solving skills and sound decision‐making ability
