Job Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Test Technician to join our team and help develop our solid refrigerant technology by executing extensive thermal and materials testing programs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with our materials scientists and engineers to design experimental equipment and develop test procedures.
* Execute exploratory experiments and debug rapidly-built prototypes.
* Execute structured experiments to determine compliance with design targets.
* Set up new sensors, controllers and the associated data acquisition equipment.
* Develop control scripts and other automations.
* Analyze test data and track testing status using advanced statistics and data processing techniques.
* Coordinate with the technical team to diagnose and troubleshoot abnormalities in systems performance and materials behaviors.
* Report and discuss recent results and long-term learnings with the team.
* Maintain laboratory cleanliness, safety, and productivity for other lab users.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
* A proven track record of experimentation in a materials science/chemistry environment.
* Experience in product validation and certification test programs.
* Experience with various data acquisition and controls platforms including Industrial PLCs (Beckhoff), Laboratory oriented systems such as LabJack, Arduino, National Instruments etc.
* Familiarity with precision gas handling equipment, heat exchangers, fluid state and flow measurements, and controls.

* Able to work with directional/aspirational goals rather than precise targets/specs.

Benefits
This is a temporary position starting immediately with a 6-month contract, with potential for renewal. The salary range for this role is $40,000–$45,000.
