About the role
Reporting to the IT Service Delivery Manager, the IT Support Officer is part of the IT Operations team. The role involves providing expert technical support and guidance to volunteers within the RSL QLD Sub‐Branch network, fostering positive relationships, and creating an environment that encourages continuous learning and improvement.
This position is full‐time on a fixed‐term contract until 30 April 2027 and is based in the Brisbane office in Fortitude Valley.
What's required to succeed
* Completion of secondary education or relevant vocational training, combined with at least 2 years of relevant work experience as an IT Support Officer or equivalent.
* A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field is desirable (not essential).
* Excellent customer‐facing and customer‐service skills, with the ability to tailor the approach.
* Professional written and verbal communication skills.
* Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
* Exceptional ability to provide technical support and resolve queries.
* Aware of appropriate handling of sensitive and confidential information.
* Able to demonstrate self‐motivation, initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks.
