Printing Industry - Folding Machine / Guillotine Operator

We are looking for a skilled Folder Operator / Guillotine Operator to join our busy print finishing team. This role is suited to someone with 3-5 years of hands‑on experience operating commercial folding machines, specifically MBO or Stahl folders and or Polar Guillotine's.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for:
- Setting up and operating MBO and Stahl folding machines and Polar Guillotines to complete a variety of Guillotining & folding jobs, including signature folding for bookbinding and general finishing work.
- Reading and following detailed job tickets and specifications.
- Performing regular quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Carrying out minor maintenance and troubleshooting to keep machines running smoothly.
- Working efficiently to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
We are located in West Heidelberg, Victoria and the hours are 6am to 2pm - Mon to Fri with plenty of overtime available.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 3 years experience on MBO or Stahl folders and or Polar Guillotine.
- Applicants must have experience with either MBO or Stahl folders or and with Polar Guillotine experience.
- Valid Australian work visa or appropriate work rights are required for this position.
- Solid understanding of folding processes and bookbinding requirements.
- Solid understanding of Guillotining requirements.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Solid attention to detail and a focus on high-quality results.
- Reliable, punctual, and a good communicator.
- Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
