Chandler Macleod are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Storeperson to join Steelforce at their Canberra branch in Hume.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a current forklift licence who enjoys hands‐on warehouse work, customer interaction, and working as part of a supportive team. Previous experience within the steel industry would be highly regarded, however it is not essential.
About the role
Working within a busy steel distribution environment, your duties will include:
* Picking and packing steel products
* Loading and unloading trucks and customer orders
* Operating a forklift safely and efficiently
* Assisting with stock movement and general warehouse duties
* Serving customers and assisting with order collection
* Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area
* Following all site safety procedures and manual handling requirements
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Current forklift licence(essential)
* Previous warehouse, stores or yard experience
* Ability to safely handle long and heavy products
* Strong attention to detail when picking and packing orders
* Reliable transport and availability to work Monday to Friday
* Steel industry experience highly regarded, but not essential
