The Role
This position supports the Marine Operations division with day-to-day activities related to shipping movements and general maintenance on a fixed-term contract.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide marine expertise and operational support for shipping and maintenance activities.
* Communicate effectively with management, Vessel Traffic Services, and port stakeholders.
* Assist with port emergency responses, including drills and training.
* Collaborate with stevedores, agents, customers, and port users on operational matters.
* Deliver services and support to vessels while in port.
* Perform planned maintenance and rectify vessel defects.
* Maintain compliance with the vessels' cloud-based Safety Management System.
* Undertake duties aligned with operational requirements as directed by management.
* Participate in a 24/7 roster to ensure safe and efficient shipping movements.
* Carry out other duties as required within your qualifications and competence.
