About the Service
Southern NSW Local Health District delivers comprehensive mental health services across Southern NSW, providing patients with evidence-based care to restore independence and manage mental health challenges.
What You'll Be Doing
Provide professional and operational leadership for a multidisciplinary team across Mental Health Inpatient services.
Coordinate and deliver accessible, equitable, evidence-based services and direct clinical care to consumers and families.
Ensure high quality services to consumers, carers and families accessing inpatient Mental Health services.
Manage a clinical caseload alongside team management tasks.
Selection Criteria
Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy registration as an Occupational Therapist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and at least 3 years full-time equivalent postgraduate experience in inpatient services and/or mental health.
Demonstrated professional and operational leadership experience, including understanding and experience of service provision in complex health settings.
Demonstrated high level clinical and advanced practice skills in Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention and expertise in clinical leadership and supervision.
Demonstrated leadership in the planning, implementation and evaluation of service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process and policy/practice guideline development.
Proven ability to work autonomously with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands, monitor performance, problem-solve and utilise independent professional judgement.
Demonstrated high level communication skills (oral and written) including advocacy and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain; ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires, including long distances and overnight stays.
