About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis, working three days per week, on a 12-month fixed-term contract. While Tuesday to Thursday is the preferred arrangement, we are open to flexibility on days and hours, and applications from candidates seeking additional days or full-time hours will also be considered for the right candidate with the required experience. An immediate start is available.
Based in West Perth, this role provides specialist support across payroll operations. The focus is on payroll compliance, data accuracy, reporting, and system support, including assisting with Watco Australia's migration from Preceda to SuccessFactors.
This role suits a payroll professional with strong Australian payroll legislation knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and hands-on payroll systems experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialist support to payroll processing activities, including data validation and inputs.
* Support compliance with Australian payroll legislation, including Superannuation Guarantee, PAYG tax, Single Touch Payroll (STP), and payroll tax obligations.
* Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, and audit-related activities.
* Support the migration from Preceda to SuccessFactors, including data cleansing, testing, and post-implementation support.
* Investigate payroll variances and data discrepancies and support resolution with HR and Finance.
* Respond to payroll-related queries in a timely and professional manner.
* Contribute to improvements in payroll processes, controls, and documentation.
What You Will Bring
* Demonstrated experience supporting Australian payroll functions with strong legislative knowledge.
* SuccessFactors experience highly desirable, with Preceda exposure advantageous.
* Strong Excel capability, including reconciliations and data analysis.
* Strong attention to detail and data integrity focus.
* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.
* Clear and professional communication skills.
