Ellerslie Farms Group is an agribusiness operating a large poultry farm in Australia. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Production Manager for our Wellcamp facility. The role is ideal for someone passionate about agriculture, with team‐management experience and a knack for working in a fast‐paced environment.
About the Role
The Production Manager will coordinate the grading floor team, ensuring efficient and safe preparation of eggs for dispatch on a fully automated production line. The role involves daily target achievement, high‐level communication, and proactive contribution to continuous improvement.
Key Functions
* Provide mentoring, coaching and support to grading floor staff.
* Communicate effectively internally and with business partners.
* Accountability for production, cost and profitability against budgets and forecasts.
* Analyze production data against company and industry best‐practice standards.
* Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives in line with company strategy.
* Support high standards of animal husbandry and welfare.
* Participate in quality assurance, bio‐security, workplace health and safety, food safety and other compliance activities.
* Support the company's stewardship and community programs.
Skills and Experience
* Passion for effective leadership and managing a team to achieve results.
* Proactive time‐management skills.
* Previous FMCG experience (essential).
* Knowledge of legislation and regulatory requirements, workplace health and safety, animal welfare and bio‐security.
* Effective communication skills.
* Project management and coordination of operational activities.
