Staff Specialist - Emergency Medicine Opportunity

About the Role

As a Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine, you'll play a key role in providing high-quality care across a busy department. You'll contribute to teaching, training, and supervision of medical staff, be actively involved in service development, and participate in patient safety and quality initiatives.

* Case Mix: 50,000 presentations annually, 25% paediatric presentations, significant trauma exposure, regional referral centre responsibilities, including aeromedical retrievals and telehealth support for rural hospitals.
* Facilities: Access to a 15-bed Short Stay Unit, Cardiac Cath Lab, and modern imaging services.

* Competitive Remuneration: Packages up to $603,633 p.a., inclusive of base salary, allowances, employer super (12.75%), professional indemnity cover, annual leave loading, and on-call/overtime.
* Professional Development: Access to a generous professional development allowance, 3.6 weeks of PD leave, and strong support for education and training.
* Career Progression: Accredited for 12 months of ACEM fellowship training, 2 months of AST training (ACRRM & RACGP), plus ACEM Certificate, Diploma, and Advanced Diploma pathways.

Requirements

* FACEM (or equivalent) and eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA.
