Newcastle Anglican has an exciting opportunity for a Cathedral Coordinator at Newcastle Cathedral. You will provide high level operational and coordination support to the Priest and Cathedral, managing events and undertakings. This role brings together administrative, facilities and volunteer functions to ensure seamless planning, scheduling and delivery of services, life events and community activities, enabling the Cathedral to fulfill its mission of worship, outreach and community service.

What are we looking for?
* Coordinate Parish services
* Be the first point of contact for incoming enquiries to the Cathedral
* Provide a welcoming and efficient point of contact to church members, visitors or enquirers
* Plan, coordination, administration and delivery of events within the Cathedral including hire and invoicing for weddings, baptisms, funerals, concerts. This will include booking dates, sending forms, invoicing, coordination of personnel and equipment, coordinating promotion in pew sheet and cathedral, liaising with stakeholders (such as clergy, families, Funeral Directors), prepare and print Orders of Service
* Manage event logistics including bookings, run sheets, suppliers and execution (entailing set up of event, requirements during the event and lock down after the event)
* Prepare resources required to support the weekly service and life events
* Liaise with clergy, readers, intercessors and music teams as required for weekly service and life events
* Engage as the liaison for Newcastle Grammar including invoicing
* Respond to enquiries from the Newcastle Anglican Brand, Marketing and Communications team as they manage the Cathedral calendar, website, social media and all media requirements
* Oversee the day to day operations of the Cathedral office and facilities
* Coordinate contractor engagement as required including availability to facilitate contractor access to the Cathedral
* Facilitate connection between church groups, parishioners and the local community
About you?
* Proven experience in a senior administrative role and/or event management role
* Strong organisational, project management and administrative capability
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Proven ability to work with a hands‐on approach and manage multiple priorities with discretion and confidentiality
* Proven experience in volunteer management and community engagement
* Excellent MS Office skills in Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
* A current Working with Children check (with clearance to work with children).
* National Police Check (Newcastle Anglican will consider the relevance of any reported outcomes).
