Join our dedicated Health Information Management Services team and play a vital role in transforming clinical documentation into accurate coded data that drives patient care, research, and hospital funding. We are seeking Clinical Coders at Level 2 (ASO4) or Level 3 (ASO5), depending on your qualifications and experience.

About the Role

As a Clinical Coder, you will:

* Apply your clinical coding expertise to accurately code medical records using ICD-10-AM and ACHI classifications
* Review and analyse complex clinical documentation to ensure precise coding outcomes
* Collaborate with medical staff and health information teams to resolve coding queries
* Maintain high standards of data quality and contribute to hospital funding accuracy
* Support coding education and mentoring initiatives within the team


About You


You are detail-oriented, organised, and passionate about health information. You thrive in a team environment and have the ability to work independently to meet deadlines. Your commitment to quality and continuous improvement will help us deliver exceptional outcomes for our patients and community.

Additionally, you will have:

* Relevant qualifications in Health Information Management or Clinical Coding
* Strong analytical thinking skills
* Experience with clinical coding software systems
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

Our Local Health Network Sites and Services:

Lyell McEwin Hospital – The major hospital in the north and north-east for emergency care, complex and multi-day surgery, medicine, obstetrics, paediatrics and outpatient services.

Modbury Hospital – A general hospital with emergency care, elective surgery, medicine, outpatient and sub-acute services, rehabilitation, geriatric and palliative care.

Mental Health - The Division of Mental Health provides a comprehensive range of public mental health services for youth, adults and older people in northern Adelaide. Services are provided through community health centres and hospitals, and to consumers in their own homes.

Forensic Mental Health - A statewide service that operates as part of the Division of Mental Health for forensic patients and prisoners.

Community Sites - Elizabeth GP Plus, Modbury GP Plus and Gilles Plains GP Plus Super Clinics providing community based care.
