The Contract Specialist supports the administration and management of client and subcontractor contracts in line with Mayfield Group Holdings policies and procedures. The role provides contract and commercial support to the Pre-Contracts and Project Delivery teams, including reviewing contract terms, advising on contractual risks and obligations, assisting with negotiations, and facilitating contract execution.
Duties
* Provide contract review, advice, and negotiation support to Pre-Contracts and Project Delivery teams to ensure strong commercial outcomes.
* Identify, assess, and manage contractual and commercial risks while implementing effective contract management plans.
* Maintain accurate contract records and oversee contract administration, including documentation, registers, and correspondence.
* Manage day-to-day contract activities such as progress claims, variations, payment reconciliation, and subcontractor claims.
* Collaborate with Project Managers, Finance, and Legal to manage payments, resolve disputes, and address contractual issues.
* Monitor project commercial performance, support forecasting, maintain stakeholder relationships, and ensure effective contract close-out.
Skills & Experience
* Tertiary qualification in Business / Commercial Law / Building or related discipline or Project Management (Essential).
* Specialist training in contract law and/or administration.
* Proven experience in Contract Administration, including contract development, review, and administration.
* Experience in working in a project/construction environment.
* Contract review and negotiation skills.
* Detailed knowledge of MS Office applications.
* Experience using Pronto financial management system (desirable).
