* Administer, process, and evaluate mill and customer rejects, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
* Generate and issue mill debits, credits, and reject notifications; reassess nonconforming or denied material as necessary.
* Maintain facility quality documentation and manage quality planning activities, including APQP and PPAP submissions when required.
* Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of FMEAs, control plans, statistical tools, IMTE requirements, calibration programs, and MSA activities.
* Communicate quality issues and resolutions with operators, leadership, technical services, sales, purchasing, and customers.
* Train and support employees on customer quality requirements and reject handling.
* Represent the facility during internal and external quality audits and assist with customer quality issues.
* Collaborate with Director of Quality Management Systems as needed on quality audits, findings and quality related issues.
Shipping Responsibilities:
* Determine daily which orders are to be shipped by utilizing company ERP system and through communication with sales, production, customers, and transportation providers.
* Prepare and maintain shipping paperwork; releases, pick lists, tags, BOLs, packing lists, and export documents (if applicable) as required.
* Assign and tender loads to outside carriers and company trucks (if applicable), following corporate routing guides, while managing loads in the corporate ERP/TMS system.
* Review paperwork for accuracy, ship and close loads in the corporate ERP system, ensuring all data is complete and accurate.
* Ensure all shipping SOPs are followed, including final inspections.
* Perform daily receiving audit and provide feedback to receiving coordinators. Crosstrain and collaborate with receiving coordinators as needed to fulfill company needs.
* Maintain safety and good housekeeping standards in the shipping area.
* Set productivity standards for loading and customer shipments.
* Communicate timely with customers, sales, and carriers regarding freight issues and escalate to Corporate Logistics team when assistance is needed.
* Monitor efficiency of combination loads, coils, blanks, drop loads, and scrap shipments to control transportation costs.
* Print BOLs for scrap pickups and collaborate with corporate Scrap & Resale Specialist to ensure scrap is picked up timely.
* Work as directed by plant management and Corporate Logistics team.
* All other duties as assigned.

* Knowledge of and ability to comply with safety rules, JSA, and OSHA requirements
* Ability to use all production related aspects of the Invex system and Microsoft Office
* Reading, writing, and communication skills

* Ability to accurately use tape measures, Rockwell tester, micrometers and calipers
* Ability to read and understand material tags and production instructions
* Ability to communicate effectively
* Ability to see details at close range
* Ability to correctly retrieve and input data using a computer
* Ability to travel on occasion (e.g. training and audits)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Ability to routinely twist, bend, stoop, and squat
* Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time
* Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Prefer an Associate's degree in a related field and two to four years of related experience in an industrial environment. Forklift and/or crane certification is preferred. Formal education may be substituted with experience and training when competency in the position is demonstrated.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This is a safety-sensitive position. This work is predominantly performed in an office setting with minimal to moderate noise due to computers, printers, and people. Occasionally, work will be performed in a manufacturing setting with moderate to high levels of noise due to machinery and equipment. The temperature of the facility will vary based on outside weather conditions. The use of personal protective equipment for safety compliance may be required as deemed necessary by management.

Salary Range: $50,000-$65,000
