Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
* Resident Care: Ensuring the delivery of high‐quality and person‐centered care to residents, addressing their specific medical, physical, and emotional needs.
* Staff Supervision: Managing and leading a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, caregivers and support staff.
* Care Planning: Overseeing the development and implementation of individual care plans for each resident, considering their unique health requirements and preferences.
* Medication Management: Ensuring proper administration and management of medications for residents, adhering to prescribed schedules and protocols.
* Family Communication: Communicating effectively with residents' families or legal guardians, providing updates on their loved one's condition and involving them in care decisions when appropriate.
* Crisis Management: Handling emergency situations and critical incidents promptly and effectively.
What We're Looking For
* Current AHPRA Registration.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in Aged Care as a Registered Nurse.
* Knowledge of Aged Care accreditation standards.
* Comprehensive knowledge and experience with ANNAC.
* Expertise in medication administration and wound care with a commitment to ongoing clinical excellence.
* Demonstrated leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Outstanding proficiency in care planning, goal setting and evaluation documentation.
* Capability to effectively lead and manage a team.
* Must have Australian Working Rights and an NDIS Worker Screening Check (or be willing to obtain).
