Job Description:
This role is responsible for processing banking transactions and supplier payments, performing general ledger reconciliations, and supporting Aftermarket Sales accounting activities. The position also assists the Accountant with month-end close processes and contributes to meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) related to reporting packs required by the Leadership Team.
* Processing payments (Maintenance, Dealer, Rego, Driver, Overheads) and allocating funds
* Processing of bank receipts, client invoices, supplier invoices and coding the issuing of payments in settlement of supplier invoices (including Aftermarket)
* Reconciliation of debtors and creditors accounts, attend to internal and external enquiries regarding accounts (including Aftermarket)
* Reconciliation of general ledger accounts and Bank Accounts
* Prepare BAS / GST returns
* Assist accountant with daily and month end processing, reconciliation and reporting, as required.
* Ad hoc reporting and other task as required from Supervisor / Manager
* Performing accuracy / completeness / sanity check on accounts regularly
* Assist finance team to achieve the team deadlines on the reporting requirement from internal / external stakeholders
* Performing trend analysis
* Assist Financial Controller with miscellaneous financial projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce as well as qualified CPA / CA or Equivalent qualifications.
* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire a high-performance team.
* Customer Service focused.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
* Ability to analyse and streamline processes.
* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills for effective time management.
* Can resolve problems through to completion resolution in a timely and effective manner.
* Ability to motivate and lead others to meet the departmental KPI's.
* Ability to share knowledge and coach others.
* Business acumen and commercial awareness as well as any previous leasing / fleet management experience is ideal.
