What's the role?
Reporting to the Director, Merchant Pricing and Analytics, you will be responsible for providing pricing and analytical support to the Merchant Pricing team. You will primarily manage the merchant pricing queues and drive process improvements, execute on pricing strategies and projects, and close risk items.
* Executing periodic Interchange and Scheme updates.
* Delivering data extraction, analysis, and reporting to support business objectives.
* Contributing to the development and optimisation of product and portfolio pricing strategies, balancing customer value, market competitiveness and financial outcomes.
* Enhancing pricing models and processes.
* Managing risks, issues and dependencies.
* Partnering with internal and external stakeholders to improve customer outcomes and pricing strategies.
What do I need?
* Strong willingness to learn the merchant ecosystem, payment trends and banking operations across branch, operations and product, with exposure to pricing and decision‐making frameworks.
* Well‐developed problem‐solving skills and desire to build technical capability across Excel, SQL and internal systems.
* Ability to understand, document and re‐engineer business processes to reduce business risks.
* Self‐starter who can work independently and apply discretion in determining pricing, rates and decision‐making with bankers.
* Effective stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, partnering with branch, operations and product teams.
* Strong governance mindset with a focus on best practice, including delegated authority and appropriate use of discretion on pricing.
