As an aspiring instructor, you'll begin the season in our structured Instructor Training Program, building teaching skills and working toward APSI certification.
Once certified, you'll start delivering lessons, helping guests feel confident, safe, and excited to learn.
Throughout the season, you'll continue to progress through on-snow training, coaching, and development designed to set you up for a long-term Snowsports pathway.
What You'll Be Doing
As a newly certified Snowsports Instructor, you'll deliver engaging, safe, and high-quality lessons to guests of all ages. You'll create memorable experiences through quality teaching, a supportive attitude, and your love for the mountain.
This role is perfect for building a future in Snowsports - combining your passion for the mountains with professional growth, mentorship, and an active, fun workplace.
You'll have access to exceptional instructor development opportunities - including on-snow clinics, APSI instructor pathway support, and ongoing training with industry-leading trainers, helping you progress your own teaching and riding throughout the season.
What You'll Bring
* Strong and confident skiing and/or snowboarding on intermediate to advanced terrain
* Experience working or volunteering with children, young people, or in sports and recreation (desirable)
* Clear, friendly communication and strong guest service skills
* Ability to independently deliver clear, safe, and engaging instruction
* Positive, adaptable team player with a passion for learning and guest experience

Your Availability
Our Instructing team are employed casually, with the following options:
Unlimited Availability: For full-season instructors, typically work up to six (6) days per week over Winter (June–September). Ideal for consistent work, training and eligibility for staff accommodation.
Limited Availability: For balancing other commitments. Must meet minimum availability requirements (see below), and arrange your own accommodation:

Hotham 2 weeks during VIC July School Holidays (27 June–12 July 2026) and all weekends in August
