What you'll be doing
The Oral Health Therapy position aims to provide oral health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, and education for the prevention of oral disease. Responsibilities include restorative/fillings treatment, deciduous tooth removal, and preventive services for children, adolescents and adults where the OHT has adult scope of practice.
Qualifications
* Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA – Dental Board of Australia) to practice Dental Therapy.
* Significant clinical experience in the provision of Dental Therapy to children.
* Relevant experience in oral health promotion and demonstrated commitment to evidence-based health promotion targeting at risk communities.
* High level of oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
* Demonstrated computer literacy to effectively utilise dental software packages (e.g., Titanium).
* Class C driver's licence and willingness to travel for work purposes.
