Eligibility
Must be a graduate from an Australian or New Zealand AMC accredited medical school.
* Successfully completed a Medical Intern Recruitment Application online for a NSW intern position.
* Meet eligibility and the NSW Health priority list criteria for medical graduate recruitment.
* Expected to complete your medical degree this year or have completed it in the past two years.
* Have not previously worked as a doctor.
Internship Rotations
* Medicine: General, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Nephrology, Endocrinology, Respiratory, Neurology, Oncology, Rehabilitation
* Surgery: General, ENT, Breast & Endocrine, Colorectal, Ophthalmology, Urology, Orthopaedics
* Other: Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Psychiatry, CL Psychiatry and Relief.
RMO Rotations
* General Paediatrics Intensive Care (ICU), Pathology, Anaesthetics.
* Primary Care – Scone, Moree and Manilla.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate patient admission, management, and discharge planning.
* Conduct patient assessments, including history‐taking and physical examination.
* Develop initial management plans and order appropriate investigations.
* Collaborate with healthcare teams and arrange specialist consultations.
* Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and colleagues.
* Facilitate discharge planning and liaise with community‐based providers.
* Review and follow up on investigation results.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role.
* Ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Good organisational and time‐management skills; ability to manage competing priorities.
* Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
* Evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to self‐education.

Incentive Scheme
* Up to $5,000 per year under the Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme based on a minimum 18‐month commitment.
