Melbourne-based | National Travel | Full Time | In-Office Engagement RequiredAbout the CompanyThe hiring company is a well-established Australian manufacturer supplying engineered safety solutions to industrial and OEM markets as well as maintaining a strong retail channel. With a strong product development pipeline and supportive leadership, they’re now investing in the growth of their industrial division. This is a unique opportunity to join a stable and collaborative team where you’ll work closely with technical and commercial stakeholders across the business.About the RoleWe are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth across the Industrial Safety Solutions market. You'll be responsible for creating and delivering a national sales strategy that expands footprint across industries such as mining, construction, mobile plant, logistics, and more. The role is based in Melbourne with regular interstate travel and an expectation of in-office collaboration as well as with colleagues in the US.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a national sales strategy targeting industrial clientsIdentify high-value B2B opportunities and manage full sales cyclePromote safety innovations such as proprietary restraints and engineered solutionsLead digital sales growth via e-commerce (Shopify)Build relationships from operational teams to senior decision-makersCollaborate with internal engineering and product teams on custom solutionsProvide regular reporting on sales metrics and forecastsTake part in weekly sales and strategy sessionsIdeal CandidateProven track record in B2B sales within industrial, manufacturing, or technical environmentsPassion for creating and maintaining a safe work environment and selling that passion to your customersStrategic selling skillsAbility to analyse broad market opportunities and devise the right sales strategy and direction - then executeConfident selling to both end users and senior leadershipTechnically minded with excellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient with CRM platforms (Microsoft Dynamics a plus)Experience in Shopify or managing online sales channels is highly regardedComfortable with regular travel and in-person engagementMust be Melbourne-based and available for office-based work in Northern suburbsWhat’s in it for YouOpportunity to shape a growing business unit backed by engineering strengthStrong team culture with long-tenured employeesDirect access to leadership and decision-makingRare chance to join a company that prioritizes safety, quality, and innovationApply NowIf you’re a commercially savvy professional who’s passionate about safety, growth, and building something meaningful, we’d love to hear from you.
