The Opportunity:
A fantastic opportunity hasarisenfor a consultant to join the Urbis Economics & Property business unit and become an integral part of our close-knit, high performingteam.You will be required to contribute to driving the ongoing profitable business growth and development of our Queensland Economics & Property offering.
This will be achieved through a strong focus on delivering client work and building client relationships.
The Role:
* Contributing to asset strategy and urban economics consultancy advice across multiple property sectors including but not limited to residential, retail, tourism, health and mixed use.
* Working across a mix of small, medium and large projects for Urbis clients, including ‘one Urbis' projects with multiple internal Urbis teams such as the broader economics, town planning, urban design and transport teams.
* Managing and undertaking field research to obtain preliminary data and knowledge across a wide range of sources and networks.
* Undertaking qualitative and quantitative analysis from research materials.
* Supporting the provision of advice and developing skills in qualitative and quantitative analysis.
* Collating and analysing data for consulting assignments and assisting the team to deliver property advice to clients.
* Have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, to manage internal databases and extract, populate and present data.
* Assisting in the preparation of presentations, drafting client reports and incorporating client feedback into final reports for senior team members.
* Developing capability in new methods of presenting and working with data (e.g. Power Business Intelligence).
About You:
This position would suit someone who has 4-6 years' experience in a similar role, with property and consulting background and a combination of the following competencies:
* Tertiary qualifications in Property Economics, Urban Planning or a related property disciplinepreferable.
* Relevant experience within the property industry, ideally gained in a consultancy environment.
* Uses decisive and transparent communication to keep team informed of progress.
* Demonstrates advanced written and verbal communication skills including producing well written and insightful reports as well as confidence in presenting to senior team members.
* Providing constructive and timely feedback to the team to try out new ideas and opportunities in support of their development.
